According to testimony given by former National Enquirer publisher David Pecker, he previously discussed a hush money deal involving the former president’s purported mistress and Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal with senior White House officials, RadarOnline.com has revealed.
Pecker stated he inquired with Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Hope Hicks about renewing the two-year agreement that paid McDougal $150k for the rights to her tale.
Between 2006 and 2007, McDougal claimed to have had a nine-month affair with Trump.
Pecker testified once again in Trump’s New York hush money trial on Thursday.

Pecker held the position of CEO of American Media Inc., the business that owned National Enquirer. He said the material would only be released by AMI and its affiliates in accordance with the purported agreement with McDougal.
Following Pecker’s second appearance on the witness stand in Trump’s criminal trial in New York on Thursday, MSNBC correspondent Vaughn Hillyard recapped these and other aspects from Pecker’s evidence.
Reportedly, the former head of the tabloids said that while Hicks and Huckabee Sanders were in favor of renewing the contract, he allowed it to “run out” after Trump told him, “It’s your business,” says Hillyard.
Pecker reportedly testified that he consulted with Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Hope Hicks about extending McDougal’s contract.

McDougal made the revelation of the supposed romance public shortly afterward in a shocking interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper in March 2018.
According to Pecker, Trump called him angrily after the interview aired and demanded to know “how this happened,” as reported by Hillyard.
Hicks is anticipated to testify before Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, and Madeleine Westerhout, Trump’s senior assistant in the White House, has also been named as a possible witness.
Umm. David Pecker testifies that he had a joint call with Hope Hicks and Sarah Huckabee Sanders — taxpayer funded WH officials, at the time — about whether Karen McDougal’s contract should be extended. "Both of them said that they thought it was a good idea," Pecker said.

Prior to Thursday’s hearings, Trump expressed his affection for Pecker to reporters when he was outside the Manhattan courtroom.
“He’s been so kind. David has been so kind. According to Mediaite, Trump said, “He’s a nice guy.”
Pecker said in his testimony that he tried to prevent staff members in the AMI newsroom from finding out about the purported payments made to McDougal.
He stated, “I didn’t want that payment to happen because I thought it would raise a lot of questions and issues and be communicated to the rest of the editors,” according to NBC. Additionally, it has been stated that he paid $30,000 to a doorman who said that Trump was the father of an unmarried kid.
From 1999 until his departure in 2020, Pecker oversaw AMI.
Pecker was the National Enquirer’s publisher and the CEO of its parent company, American Media Inc.
