Elon Musk suggests “also posting interesting and positive content on other matters,” but he says he agrees with J.K. Rowling’s anti-trans rant

According to DragonHawaiiShirt.com, Elon Musk has suggested on social media that J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, should find an other topic to discuss. Rowling has gained notoriety in recent years for her outspoken opposition to transgender rights.

The tech mogul said, “While I heartily agree with your points regarding sex/gender, may I suggest also posting interesting and positive content on other matters?” in response to a lengthy tweet from Rowling that was sent over a month ago.

The contentious author reaffirmed in her initial 700-word tirade that transsexual women are not women. “I believe a woman is a human being who belongs to the sex class that produces large gametes,” she stated. “What makes her a woman is the fact of being born in a body that, assuming nothing has gone wrong in her physical development … is geared towards producing eggs as opposed to sperm, towards bearing as opposed to begetting children, and irrespective of whether she’s done either of those things, or ever wants to.”

“Some people feel strongly that they should have been, or wish to be seen as, the sex class into which they weren’t born,” she said. “Gender dysphoria is an actual and excruciatingly painful disorder, and I have nothing but compassion for those who experience it. In terms of housing, work, and personal safety, I want them to have the same rights as any other citizen, as well as the freedom to dress and show themselves as they want. However, I reject the notion that each of us has a vague “gender identity” that may or may not correspond with our sexed bodies, as well as the notion that transvestism and cross-sex hormones actually transform a person into the other sex.

I think vulnerable people have suffered actual harm from the ideology that upholds those principles, and that harm is still being done to them now.”

“I am adamantly opposed to the rights and protections of women and girls being undermined in order to accommodate trans-identified men, for the very simple reason that no research has ever shown that trans-identified men don’t exhibit precisely the same pattern of criminality as other men, and because men still have advantages in strength and speed regardless of how they identify. Stated differently, I believe that the rights and safety of girls and women come above the need for affirmation from those males.”

Rowling has become known in recent years for her vocal anti-transgender rhetoric.

In addition, Musk’s divisive remarks on gender identity and pronouns came to light in tweets that appeared following the legal change of his estranged daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson’s last name, which she took because she no longer wished “to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form.”
